The minute P + R got in touch with me to document their baby’s gender reveal I could feel their excitement in the email message!

R wanted to make sure I could capture several shots of the balloon popping, and I promised to make it happen. I wanted to make sure that the effects were impactful and we had a blank slate to work with. They agreed to my request to make shift a studio and move all the furniture in their living room out of the way. Together we planned to make this happen!

The day of the shoot we were all really nervous! Me, because this was BIG moment for them and I needed to be prepared for anything and everything. Them, because the anticipation was high, negotiations on who was going to do the popping and the flood of emotions that came with the result all within just a few seconds.

The celebration lasted about 20 minutes but the memories and photographs will last forever.
